ok so i am 36 weeks pregnant. at 33 weeks and at 35 weeks i had to go to the hospital because of contractions 2 minutes apart. this last time i was 2 cm dilated but didn't dilate any more after medicine. both times i had to get the shots to stop the contractions and after monitoring me for 6 hours would be sent home. my question is at what point or how far along do you have to be for them not to stop the contractions and let me have her?

  1. My doctor said that once I'm 36 weeks, they won't try to stop it... I'm 32 weeks, today. :)

  2. 36-38 weeks. They keep stopping to make sure the baby's lungs are mature enough to be outside of the womb.
