When will we adopt the North American Union?

Probably soon. That is no doubt why the illegal aliens from Mexico are so welcome in the U.S. and they haven't built the fence or kicked out the illegal alien drug dealers, gang members and other criminals for a start, I think this has already been decided and signed and they just haven't told the Americans or Canadians about it, knowing that our standard of living will take a dive when you add in third world Mexico.

I think Robert J has it right. It will destroy our soverignty, not that we have any to begin with, so it can't be a good thing. It will probably take a major economic disaster to implement, the current oil crisis being orchestrated to start the wheels moving.

It may not be as far off as most may think, it is inevitable. I am not a supporter of a North American Union, I think a union with Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand would be more interesting.

Good question!!!  I think such an idea is a wonderful one, but it probably won't happen any time soon.  Our government sees no benefit in doing so (why, I have no idea).  I think it will take 50-60 more years at the very least.

Uniting with Canada might not be a bad idea, but with all the drug problems, corrupt politics, gang wars, and rampant police killings in Mexico, I'm not sure being connected with them would be good for the U.S. or Canada.  

Maybe Canada and the U.S. should join forces to try and help Mexico rise to a level where it can safely rule itself and its citizens, and THEN maybe we could consider letting them join a N.A. union.  

But Canada is having its own "union" problems with Quebec wanting to be its own nation (or has that problem been resolved?)... so, I'm guessing it's a number of years away, yet...

Most Knowledgeable and astute Americans will Never Accept it!  Or When Cows Sprout Wings and Fly!  Most Americans Would Rather Fight Than Switch too! Why Give up our Constittion and Bill of Rights for a Lesser government, headed  up by Dictators in Brussels Belgium and the Middle East?  All of it Was Done Behind Closed Doors with Religious and Government figures without the Approval of the American People!  Something Is Stinking in Denmark or soon will be.

My goodness, the Eastern block discovered they got their old dictators back and it is already failing.  Aren't you wondering Why they are Intentionally trying to Crash our Stock Market?  Or Why Your Congress and Senate Is Stalling on Fixing the Illegal Immigration Problem? In their ountries they Accept it as a better way of life, while we are reduced to a Third World Country.   It is to Make the American people submit!  None of us Voted for it.  (Nafta/Gatt)
