Will we ever be able to bring back the dinosaurs, what about a mamoth? I'd love to see us return the Tasmanian Tiger...

  1. Species that have recently become extinct it shouldn't be too difficult but older things like dinosaurs you need to find a viable source of DNA to work from and it is just too old at that point.

  2. The Japanese are working on bringing back the wooley mamoth

  3. Unfortunately DNA breaks down quite rapidly unless preserved in unusual circumstances. The frozen mammoth DNA is broken into many small fragments which makes working out the proper sequence very hard. Sperm can survive freezing better, but even so it is a long shot.

Dinosaurs are far too old .

Tasmanian Tigers might be possible depending on how many stuffed specimens are around.
