  4. Whenever it is cheaper than a gasoline car at the lot.

    When charging it by plug in doesn't cost more than the $4/gallon of gasoline.

    When the range of the vehicle due to battery is enough to drive 100+ miles on a charge.

    They may be getting close, but so far current electric cars would be worthless to me.

  5. When we have clean green electric supplies on the grid, and not coal, natural gas, or oil, it will matter that we have electric cars.

    When it matters, it may happen. Until then, concentrate efforts to change the source of electrical power.

  9. I read that they will be producing them in 2009 or 2010. They're going to be called "the Volt." We need them desperately, or we're going to be in one h**l of a situation. Well, we're in it now.

    When they come out, I am definately getting one.
