When will we see Futuristic cars and stuff?

I've been seeing a ton of concept cars that either run on electricity, air and even hydrogen, and water! i was just wondering when we will actually start seeing these magnificent concept cars as our actual cars. i think it would be really awesome. I understand that these cars are not the typical car standards we have for normal gas powered cars, and that is one of the reasons why they are not in the market yet, but why is it taking so long? why is this such a long process? i may sound ignorant, but it just caught my attention for no apparent reason. I also want to know why house roofs today can't be built with solar panels rather than shingles to power individual houses without paying electricity. im not just talkin' for rich people, but for the standard home for everyone since power is becoming dim for our endless population growth. i know it would be hella expensive but wouldn't it be worth in the long run? thanks if u answered without being a smart-*** lol.....

  1. I promise if I get rich enough or if they lower the cost to $1000. I'll buy one so you can look into the street and be happy watching me drive by. lol

  2. Invest in Mr. Nicko , One of my designs uses water , with no waste . Soon gas cars will be for the ultra rich and in museums . My designs are very aerodynamic , very futuristic , light weight and strong enough for an impact . Fast , how fast do you want to go ? All I need is true investors . My credentials ,  supersonic jet mechanic in Air force , Certified engine builder , 4 years drafting , one semester night school auto - cad . Welder , machinist , metal fabricator , carpenter , too many talents to list . Am I bragging no , I ' m looking funding for my designs . I have hundreds of drawings , blue prints , figures . the Lexus in Minority Report was a real working electric sports car. but Unlike other film cars, like bond, Lexus refuse to comment on it

Electric cars should be cheaper to mass produce than infernal combustion, simpler transmission, no complex alloys & metalurgy, few moving parts, no cooling or exaust or petrol management systems ...

There is no technical reason not to have them today

  4. Yeah...hovercrafts are like ten million us dollars....this year....I'm saving up for when they  have used ones in like 20 years...

  5. here is the problem, it more than likely wont be in our life time. and if it is, believe me when i say it will be expensive and experimental

  6. Some really cool electric cars and plug-in electric hybrids are right around the corner.  See my discussion linked below for further details.

  7. I have been waiting for all kinds of futuristic stuff since before 1960, and I gotta say I am getting impatient! Back then the predictions for the fantastically distant future of the year 2001 included things like the Move "2001, a Space Odyssey". How wrong could we be!

  8. In 2008, the world's cleanest car will be here.  I believe the long wait is due to production and safety design delays but worth it.

Anything new on the market cost money.  I remember in the '70's buying our first computer, an Apple IIe, 126K, with a duo disk drive for $3,000.00.  My family of six shared one computer.  Now because of cost everyone has his own.  Our first cell phone was the same way.

The roof of homes can be made of solar panels to generate electricity but it's too expensive for the average home buyer.  I did get a solar hot water heater system because I could afford one back in the late '70's and now have an electricity bill half that of my neighbors who didn't get one.

  9. Many of this is too expensive for the general audience but be sur eenough that there will be no flying cars it would be chaos....try discovery channel type future car and 2057...it is pretty good.

I already give you the links.
