stage?

Isn't it time that females and mature women alike got past this "we have been cheated" mentality and get productive and stop wasting good energy that could be used for forward motion?

Mind you, I LOVE women, it just really pains me to see them shooting themselves in the foot over and over with this issue.

  1. To quote Geldof, sometimes you need grumpy b*stards just to get things done :-)

  2. When we are not treated like imbeciles and thought of as less than a man, I think we'll stop being angry.

I love men, but I don't like being treated like I'm ignorant or weak simply because of my secondary s*x characteristics.

  3. We're on top of it and we'll let you know when we're done.  Don't worry.

  4. You need to get out more. Last time  I knew a woman with that attitude was in the 70s

  5. Shooting themselves in the foot how? I see a successful woman who is running for President who is consistently derided for being 'shrill' or 'mannish' or 'cold' or 'emotional'. I've had the good fortune to report to several female, department directors, VPs, CFOs and corporate presidents over my career -all of them hard workers and inspirations.

There are many women now who are choosing to be stay at home wives and mothers. Only 50 years ago, that wasn't a choice - it was the only option. Because of the women who 'got angry', I have the right AND the ability to take care of myself. I have the right to vote. I have the right to CHOOSE my lifestyle instead of having it forced upon me.

I'm glad those women got angry. They created a better life for me.

  6. Please, give some examples? As far as I know (speaking for myself and the women I know personally) I'm not angry. I'm quite happy with my life. I have a grate job, a wonderful boyfriend, I'm healthy, I have my own place to stay, I'm able to pay my bills, I can eat when there are people in this world who can't say the same, I don't understand what you're talking about. I'm doing just fine for myself. Almost finished with my degree, served my country honorably. My feet have no bullet holes in them.

Now, with all that being said, I wish you and some of the men who come in here would stop generalizing all women into the same category. Not all of us feel as though we're being mistreated or held back. Maybe the women you know think that way. But not me nor most of the women who post in here. I'm constantly striving to do better and advance to the next level in my life. The only person that can hold me back from doing so would be myself by thinking negativity and not believing in me (which that would not happen at this stage in my life) I've come to far and worked to hard for me to be angry at anything in my past, or anything that I personally can't change. Because I now have the courage, strength and wisdom to change the things that I can (and I know the difference between the two :)

  7. Women are angry at the cards nature dealt them.

They'll continue to whine and bleat and ask for legislative help to enforce the 'equality' they so richly deserve, knowing full well that they are relying on the graciuosness of men to give them a share.

  8. If it makes you feel any better, I'm not angry.
