When will you be old?

In your opinion, at what age do you consider someone old or yourself old or uncool?

Ì'll be old in about 10 years.

When I was 20, it would have been about 20 years in the future, but I have passed that.  Now it's about ten years from now.  In ten years, it will probably be about ten years from then....I think if I live to be 105, I still won't think I'm old, yet.

You make a good point. I suppose when people do start to become narrow minded. but that can happen at any age. I would say, when people start to feel old then they would become old. but it is not for us to judge people and determine whether they are "old" or not. They say that you are only as old as you feel. An 80 year old person may be old in age and physical appearance but could be young at heart..

Its crazy how people think that 40-48 is old when it really isn't. its only about half of the persons entire life depending on how healthy they are. I know its kind of hypocritical, but me only being almost 16 years old, i would normally think my mom is kind of old when she is only in her 40's but on the other hand, i think a person is on the verge of being old around 46 and once they are called grandma or grandpa then they are officially old. ahah :) if that made any sense?!

I think a lot people think even when they are older that they can try and be cool, nothing wrong with that to a certain extent, but there is a line that you should try not to cross unless you're like me and think "whatever who knows how long I'm going to live." But I think it can ring true the saying "You're only as young as you feel." But, I think it's up to whoever you are that you're old.

theres no such thing of being old look at george burns he lived to b 100 or more still smoked the finest cigars and was the coolest guy to hit the big screen and the uncool part every1 is cool no1 is uncool lets say u play football and i only watch now ur cool at what u do now lets say i write poetry and i really do and u like to read poetry now im cool at what i do just like u r cool at football so every1 is cool in someway or the other...Peace

I don't consider most people old.  Even people in their 60's.  I find old as a lesser term for the aged.  I usually judge a mans age by their minds level of composure.  So as long as someone can think as clearly as a young person they are not old in my eyes.

It's all relative.  For example when you are 19, slamming neon colored shots in a nightclub and then passing out on the beach is a kick butt time.  It would be pathetic to do this when you are 30.  But when you are thirty, you have no desire to do this!  And you have more money.  So you can stay in a really nice hotel, and sip wine out on a private balcony with a hot tub and a fire place.  A 19 year old stumbling past on the beach might see your one piece swimsuit and your husband's bald spot, and think that you are old and uncool.  But an elderly couple strolling by might think, "Oh, look at those young lovebirds!"  That being said, there is a time limit on "s**y".  Especially as a woman.  You might see a s**y woman in her forties or fifties, but they would be gorgeous models or actresses who started out at a level most of us never see.  And you never see a s**y sixty year old.  Ah, Time.  What an a$$hole.

0 to 1 baby

1 to 11= kid

12= p*****n

13 to 19=teen

20 = un official teen

21 =  official young adult

22 to 31 =young adult

32 to 40= actual official adult

40 to fifty's= middle aged

fifty's to 70's= oap

70 to 90=  old

90 + =  really old

I consider someone old at like 80. I know.. some people may disagree but someone who says they are 50 doesn't seem that old to me.

60. Here's the science.

If there are three categories:  Young, Middle-Aged and Old, and the upper end of longevity is a good round 90 then the cut-offs should be:

Young = Birth-29

Middle-Age = 30-59

Old = 60 'til death.

More drastic might be 0-24, 25-49, 50 til death.

Yep, sorry 30-something's...the math says you're middle-aged!

To answer your question about what age do I start to consider someone old, I would say that in physical terms, oh around 65 to 70-ish.
