Its quite obvious we are in a depression, not a recession, because regulations have been put in place since the Great Depression,to protect us from such a thing again. So why is it, that the banks are closing? Why wont our government admit that we are in a depression, not a recession? Why is our own government the people we are supposed to trust, lying to us all?

  1. We will announce it when it happens.

You, unfortunately, are not the expert.

There are many, many, MANY people that will announce it when it does happen.

You will not be one of them.

Because you DO NOT KNOW, you simply try to lie.

  2. We are not in depression.

If we were, you wouldn't be on your computer right now.

  3. hello dont listen to them I think we are developing into a depression. my parents are broke and have to borrow money from our family. it is deppressing that were growing broke

  4. When it is.  Which it isn't!

  5. no, honey a depression is when you cannot buy food, when it is rationed because there is not enough to feed the country.  It is when all the banks are closed, it is when there is no gasoline, it is when we are all homeless, and it is when one in five people are unemployed.  that is a depression, believe me, we are not there yet dear.

  6. Well, since the "government" doesn't admit to any errors in foreign policy, it's safe to assume they'll never admit to a depression even if one becomes undeniable.  Historically, denial of reality has been viewed as a symptom of  a mental disorder.  Today, it's a symptom of being a Republican.

  7. Yes, right now you think were in a depression. The actual truth of the matter is that we are in a recession. Economists have said that at least every decade there is one recession. America hasn't had a recession like this since the 70's. As soon as we drill for more oil, the stock market will gradually go up. This is just a recession not a depression. People will adapt and the economy will stabalize. It is not a cover up just so that people don't scream depression and start selling stocks like crazy. If this really was a depression, you would really know it, my grandpa lived/survived during the great depression and so did probably your relatives.

  8. when you go to your local bank, and the doors are locked.

and trust me, americans wont have the time to withdraw their money, or there will be a limit on withdraw, I see it coming.

  9. we are not in it yet and they are just trying to prevent it and slowly we'll come out of this mess you have to be patient and why are you so admit in saying we are in one or is it you are against the govtment? well if you are there is one way ticketout of here and we'ld love you to leave it or love it.

  10. Easy. When were actually in one.

  11. In my opinion we're NOT in a recession.  The media and everyone else is trying to stir up contraversy and say how baddd the economy is, when in my opinion everything is fairly stable.

Things aren't great... gas/groceries are high and we're definitely in for a long haul.  But recession? depression?

I've never seen so many people out driving or spending money in my life!  My father usually sells 3 boats or more a day.. people are spending money more than ever and I refuse to believe that problems are as bad as people make them out to be.

  12. Jessica - PLEASE do us all a favor and READ. Even if it hurts, you must start trying to learn the basics of economics, business, and stop with your moronic yahoo posts. Thanks.

  13. think of millions of people focusing on the worst: depression

what kind of energy does that draw to us

honestly what we think impacts the world but we don't

know how to use it for peace etc...

  14. They  never will admit we are already in a depression! Anyone that thinks otherwise is too rich to know the difference! They will be the first to know the wrath of a mob when they take what they need and then what they want!
