  1. Men do the same thing...I posted "Is it time for women to control the world"  and was called Hilter...stupid woman by more than one man....they take it as a attack too...so all it proves is men and women...are all human.

  2. I typically do not, though we all have our moods.  I think many here have a wall of defense and anything that questions their beliefs is treated as an attack, whether it is or not.

  3. Because they are provocative???...

  4. Not all of them do.  It is impossible to make blanket statements about any action, attitude or activity when you are referring to over half of the people on Earth.

  5. i thought all guys loved woman..and i see alot messed up questions/comments about woman..and im like d**n i thought guys loved p**** & enjoyed the company of a woman. i guess not

  6. Because here, it usually is.

  7. I don't.  Not at all.

  8. My guess is it's partly due to text based communication having a definite lack of intonation.  Sometimes that's all that separates a  statement designed to provoke thought and a statement that's simply designed to provoke.  If a question is worded in a provocative manner, it can easily set someone on auto-defensive.

Similarly in RL, there are situations where how you say something can put the person on the defensive.  Body language and intonation carry a great deal of meaning; it's notoriously difficult to express these in text!

I've sometimes found that I missed something in someone's question because of this lack of intonation.  Initially I might think "WTF" but then I'll go back and re-read the question and that's when I really understand the meaning behind it.  (And this is part of the reason why I don't report much of anything; sometimes I have to think about a question's real meaning before I answer.)
