  1. don't know this place in particular, but for the most part, dishwashers are also expected to do "other duties as assigned", meaning if there is a slack time and extra hands in the kitchen you can be expected to clean bathrooms or pick up trash or any number of other jobs.

  2. Yes, to all. Plus you may even been doing washing and cleaning outside of restaurant like windows, and yard work(like trimming hedges). good luck to you.

  3. I Don"t know this restaurant but most dishwashers have these duties

  4. Gross....I hope not

  5. not unless people are eating out of the toilets.  :D (i'm sorry, i couldn't resist that one, lol)

seriously though, dishwashers are often just dishwashers, but if an employer wants to add things to the job description it's up to him or her.

  6. Yes, many dishwashers will be expected to do this chore.  When my son worked as a dishwasher he would often be tasked with unclogging the toilet.

It often comes down to who's going to do it?  The cooks?  The serving staff?  It makes more sense to have the person who is not directly handling your food to do it.

At the end of the day some places with also require servers, etc., to assist in cleaning chores.

  7. No, those duties got to the bussers normally.

  8. I dont think so... if thats the case then nobody will like to eat
