When would be a good time to get out my sirian hamster?

I just tried now, she doesn't seem to keen on getting out of bed.

  1. how long have you had the hamster if you have had it for about 2 weeks then it is ready to meet you but if not it still might need time to get used to its new environment... and...

    you should'nt wake them up they hate it..

    but when it is awake dont grab for it lay your hand out maybe put a piece of food on your hand and it should eventually come to you naturally and get used to your hand

    when it is comfortable then hold it close to your body so it doesnt jump out of your hands then you can start to stoke it and stuff and it will be happy with you !

  2. I have had 13 hamsters...I find that the evening around 7:00 pm or later is the best time to hold them. When they are up eating, walking around, cleaning themselves, stuff like that....

    like did you get her yesterday or have you had her for a while and were letting her settle in?

  5. I find with mine evening is a good time to play with them.  They are much more interested and out going then.

  6. first its syrian and u shouldnt wake them wait till they are awake and handle them ifu wake them it will be harder to train and tame them as they wil not like u waking them up
