When would be best to test? The waiting is unbearable....?

Question

My LMP stated on July 21 and my cycles are about 34-35 days long. I am due to start this weekend sometime. I don't know when the earliest I can test is though. Had unprotected s*x on the 16th of August so there is a possibility that I missed my ovulation date. There is still chances and I am keeping my hopes up though. Should I wait until I am late, like Monday or do you think it would be accurate on Saturday? Help please...

it has been my experience that if i wait 2-3 weeks after my missed monthly, the test is more accurate and unquestionable (such as very faint lines) that could cause confusion. good luck!

I am playing the waiting game as well!!! It sucks so bad!!! But I am going to wait to see if I miss my period!! If I do then I will probably test a few days later if still no sign!! But you have to go by what you think that you should do!!! I hope that we both get our BFP!!! Good Luck and God Bless!!!

I know exactly how you feel, i'm in the same boat.  Not sure exactly when to test either.  I'm actually starting to feel a little crampy so I'll probably have to wait another month.  Good luck and God Bless!!

     If you last tried on 8/16 and that is he day you think you got pregnant you should try to wait 14 days to do the pregnancy test at least on 8/30/08.  Anyways 2 weeks after conception the hormone should be strong enough to show up on pregnancy test, if you get a negative retest in another 7 days. They have Clear-blue Easy test that is suppose to show up 5 days before missed period so try that on. ALso 1st response is suppose to be good, but I do not recommend it as I got 1 false and 1 positive the same day with that company. Good luck to you and I hope things work out for you.

Sometimes waiting for the test to turn positive is the longest 3 minutes of your life.  LOL  We will both be peeing and hoping around the same time frame.

NOTE: Sometimes it can take 3 weeks for HCG hormone to be strong enough to make the result positive.  It depends on your body.  Also if you have taken any fertility medicine it can throw off the test and give you a false positive result.  Good luck to you.

If you are 30 days into your cycle today and you go 34/35 the earliest you could test would be tomorrow using something like first responce which detects the hcg hormone as early as 4 days before your period starts. I think if you had unprotected s*x on the 16th August you would of definately missed Ovulation if your periods are accurate at 34/35 days. Good luck to you this month.

It is said that you are at your most fertile 14 days after the 1st day of your last period...

I got a positive preg test at 3 weeks - The best hpt is 1st Response!  

Sat/Mon I dont think it will too much of a difference but you should test with your 1st pee of the morning as this is at its most concentrate and will pick up on the pregnancy hormone if you are pregnant!
