I have a weird question: when someone claims they're going to beat you up, what's a pretty good indicator that they're too scared to do so?

  1. If they get scared when you push back, they usually don't have alot of fight in them. Talk is cheap and you can tell the men from the boys (or women from the girls) when the S**t hits the fan and they go runnin, and you are left swingin.

you are not a porta-pottie, don't take c**p from anyone.

  2. They have those big, opened eyes looking straight at you with eyebrows raised(as if they're scared to do something) and u can notice that they breathe hardly, from their chest. And,of course, they're hesitant. When someone says  they want to beat you up,they do it without second thoughts.Actually, they wouldn't even tell you that they wanna beat you up,they wouldn't let you know first. What's the point of it since  they already allert you from ahead? They'll want to take you by surprise. So,it also is that if they "threat" you with beating you up,it means they actually won't.They wish, but they won't because they're scared or/and not sure that they'll win the fight with you and don't wanna risk. But they want to scare you to gain domination over you,to induce fear in you so that to see if you're also scared and prolly prepare you or something.I don't know,it's more often when someone threats you like that that they won't do it.It's more common when they simply jump at you without bothering to threat you if they're really that determined and pissed off.Threatening you means hesitation from their side.I could say that's an advantage for you,it means you show a risk to them and they're not sure about taking it.

  3. Since they are SAYING it, that means they are way too scared to actually DO it!

  4. walk away & don't even give this person the time of day -it's not worth it.

  5. they continue to run their mouth, instead of taking action.

  6. You are not talking about bullying at school.. are you talking about abuse in a relationship...? if that happens.. you need to get out.. they are not too scared.. if anyone makes a threat it will most likely first be a verbal threat in an abusive relationship and that can often escalate to physical violence in such a case one has to get out and to join a group for abused women.. and if someone else threatens.. always take it seriously. and get away from them.. they have an anger problem.. and it's best to avoid them.. one has to take such a threat alway seriously...xx
