When you've had an op and you feel sick what are those tablets called that they give you to stop the nausea?

They give you them when you have morphine too, if the morphine make you vomit.

Can anyone remind me what they're called please?

    They are all 'anti-emetics'.

  9. Usually Promethazine Hydrochloride is the one given post-operatively to prevent vomiting. The commonest trade name of Promethazine Hydrochloride is Phenergan.

    Domperidone

    Cyclizine

    Prochlorperazine

    Metoclopramide

    Ondansetron

    These are all generic names, they also have other brand names too such as Stemetil and Maxolon.
