  1. if you are definitely going to fight someone and it is obvious you can't get out of fighting them then yes you should hit first and hit hard. otherwise it will you that gets hurt, b/c in a street fight its usually whoever gits hit first who loses

  2. Are you talking about a "Street Fight"? You dont want to do that if you can avoid it by all means! It's not worth it, and the one who looses the fight may go home and get a bat or something for payback! It just is not worth it. But if your absolutely forced into a corner, never let anyone hit you first, not ever! You hit that person like your trying to take their head-off, If they mean you harm! In a Boxing Match, There is a process of what they call Feeling-Out" your opponent, where you both give and take the first round to see what each other has brought to the fight. But, Not always the case! Look at Tyson, he came out like an animal right at the first bell, and there are fighters like that still, he is not the only one. Tie those guy's up until there rage dies down, then Box them. May take a few rounds, But they will eventually tire of acting like animals, and settle down to Box. Hope this helped, and Take Care.

  3. Honestly, try to walk away first let the person know that your not interested in fighting. But if all else fails the other person needs to be the aggressor and if you truly feel threatened then you can defend yourself. I case of any knock downs you need to walk away from that or you then can be said to be the aggressor then.

  4. Depends if the other guy is drunk or not. And depends if he's leaving himself open to being hit.

If I'm gonna start, I like a good hard quick kick to the stomach. It's hard to block b/c most people don't expect it, and it keeps you back far enough out of range of any type of quick counter. He'll bend forward slightly from the pain, and then you can pretty much do anything you want to him from there... take him down, guillotine choke, upper-cut, knee to the face (especially if you can get a mui-tai clench) whatever.

Most people assume you'll just stand in front of them, put your "dukes" up, and just trade punches. If you see the guy you're about to fight thinks like that, you already own him. Other people, especially when drunk, go for the immediate take down, and it ends up being a sloppy wrestling match. In that case, you gotta let him make the first move, sprawl, and then he's open for all kinds of submissions.
