When you activate iphone through itunes does it take money away from the card registered on your account??

My iphone is coming in tomorrow, and i just wanted to make sure about activation. I know you have to activate through itunes, but what im concerned about is that will they charge the activation fee towards the card that you registered on itunes to buy song, movies etc?... because the card that is currently on my itunes account is a gift card, and i rather that not be used up.

There is no activation fee.

Oh yeah, congrats on the iPhone. Since it's after May 27th, when the new one comes out on July 11th, you get a free upgrade (plus a refund for the price difference).

No.. they dont charge the card that you have registered in itunes, it comes in your next AT&T bill.
