do you bother reading other people's answers or just go and answer it without even reading what other's have put? Or maybe you only read certain user's answers and skip out on some?

I just find it funny sometimes where a question is asked (not an opinion question either) and a user has answered, yet another user would answer with "I was wondering that as well"! Did the 2nd user not bother to read the previous answer with a provided link to boot?? Just a pet peeve and with all the whining i figured i'd get my share in as well.

  1. I honestly answer it..Then read the other answers if someone else answered it similarily I go back and try to edit it a bit.If I wasn't going to answer then look at the other answers and maybe try to add to what they were saying.

  2. redundancy, bandwagoning, hypocrisy, lack of class, delusions of grandeur, inconsistency, mass hysteria, and naivete seems to becoming the norm for a lot of the users the past few days.

thank God for users like you, and the rest that keep this place sane.

add - Beer, it looks like some people STILL cannot appreciate some humor. you gotta stop sounding so serious and give some of them more of a clue. welcome back.

  3. If it is opinion I usually just answer, and then read the other answers. If it is a question with a real answer I'll usually check other answers to see if someone has got it. Although I HATE people who say IDK or I was wondering that as well. Come on if you don't know the answer then answer.

  4. Sometimes this board is my only soucre of amusement, you guys crack me up. I read everyone's answers.

  5. Hi

I have to agree with you and "you."  Seems to be a lot more two pointers out there then normal. Its one thing to add to an answer and go into more detail, but to say either "I was wondering that too," or  "What ____ said" is really just answering for the points.  If someone beats me as we answer at the same time I  may edit to say they beat me, and expect the asker to give the B/A to them.

This is not a game where the person with the highest score wins. Often those that treat it as such are pointed out by their actions and lose credibility among the rest of the regular contributors.

I recently had a discussion with another user over what makes a Regular in the Hockey section. They said some one that answers often, I said they have to have some hockey knowledge also.  We ended up agreeing to disagree pretty much.

I read everyone that has answered before I post. A lot of times that means I will not post if someone already gave a solid answer.

    Thank You

  6. Most ofthe time I read the answers others have posted.

  7. Most of the time, I just answer before i look at other people's question. But sometimes when i'm unsure...I'll read others answers and try to answer with my knowledge and what other people have written about it for more ideas lol.

  8. Well these past two days I haven't really been reading answers,

since I have been focusing on Free Agency.

I do read answers though. They are fun to read.

  9. I'm too opinionated and self-centered to consider reading other opinions before answering with the way I see things.

On the other hand, I do look to see if anyone who has answered has the correct answer in the way of facts. If the question seems to need a more adequate answer, then I'll give it my best.

  10. I'll look and see, but many times, the number of answers is either very low, or it doesn't show any; unfortunately sometimes Y!A is a bit slower than we'd like.

  11. haha, i read other people's answers before i answer it myself

  12. I read certain user's answers.  Hehe.

  13. I normally answer 1st. besides If I try to read them then write mine, 5 more where added before I sent mine. Just have fun Ask,answer and cheer for your team.Ignore the meat heads especially if I'm being one that day!!!

  14. I typically won't answer if somebody says what I want to say, unless I'm feeling unusually fervent about the topic that's discussed.

I do read a lot of answers throughout the day.

  15. When I am really excited about a question, I don't read other answers.  Some times it is best to not let others try to sway your initial opinion.  Than after I answer then I read all of the answers.

Everytime I ask a question, I read every WORD of everyone's answers.  Some times it is hard to pick a BA, and I think,"I'll pick the BA tomorrow.".....and then the next day and the next day comes, and I forget to pick the BA...and then it ends up going to vote.  It sucks.  I just don't want to hurt anybody's feelings.

  16. yes! no! I read certain peoples answers.  Some people I have been trained to ignore.

  17. I was just wondering that!

Haha just kidding. Depeding on the question, some times there's a question I don't know the answer to and I go back to it later and see what it was. I usually read other answers, sometime before and sometimes after.

  18. Sometimes I do read the answers. Sometimes I am the first to answer a question. If someone has already said what I was going to say , i just move to the next question. If I feel I can contribute anything I type it. Even if it similar to someone Else's answer. But. It is never a set thing with me as to weather or not I read answers.

  19. Usually I answer first, then read the other answers.  If someone answered it, I edit my answer.

  20. I read what people put before i answer because i don't want to put the same answer. Sometimes i don't read all of them, sometimes i just skim. If its a factual type question and its already answered correctly i don't bother answering it, unless its something i just wanted to put my input on. I like to read what others say before i post mine that way i won't have the same answers as them.

  21. I answer first then read later.

But I find it hard to read answers with people who don't have pictures. lol

  22. i just answer. and then i look at other peoples answers
