When you are arrested, would they ever put your jumpsuit on before a mugshot? Or do you put that on afterwards

I am trying to decide if this mugshot is a spoof or not. The "inmate" has their jumpsuit on in the mugshot. But after looking over some other mugshots, this is the only mugshot I have seen where the inmate has on the jumpsuit in the mugshot.

If he was transported to the prison from another one he might have a jumpsuit on in his intake photo.

Yeah. Usually the procedure when someone is arrested is to take them in, book them, get the mug shot and fingerprints, jumpsuit in some instances, then to the cell.

they are supposed to book you before locking you up and mug shots are a part of booking.  the only possible thing is if the inmate had no clothes.
