  1. When you are deaf, usually the nerve receptors in your ears are damaged and can not transmit impulses to your brain.  Therefore, you can not hear your heart or breathing.

  2. well i wasnt born deaf so i dont know if it makes a difference at all or not, and im not 100% deaf but i can hear my heart beat, well i feel it more than i hear it but i can still hear it in my ears sometimes, but i cant hear myself, only feel it

  3. No you cannot, if your deaf you can't hear anything. If you can you are not deaf.

  4. I don't know, but what about chewing things like cereal, where you don't really hear someone else but it sounds really loud to you; or those tooth brushes that you only hear when you are brushing your teeth?

    I always wondered about that.
