when you are in check in chess do you have to move king or can you you use another player to take out the peice that put you in check.

a) move your king to a safer position

b)take the piece which is putting the king into check

or

c) use another piece to block the offence. e.g. a queen is checking a king, and the you put a knight between them preventing the check.
