  1. You are not over analyzing anything.  He took complete advantage of you.  Now if it just slipped his mind or what I don't know but you are going to HAVE to ask him for reimbursement for the shoes.  He is your coach, it is a professional arrangement and he crossed the line when he asked you to buy the shoes in the first place.  If for some odd reason he refuses to repay you then you need to report him to whomever he works for.  He is being quite unprofessional and is using you.  Please ask him to reimburse you and if he refuses, then report him.  Do not let him intimidate you in any way.  He is just a tennis coach, not a tennis star.  Good luck!!!

    Peace & Love  :)

  2. Actually, I would NEVER just buy something for someone that I wanted them to pay me back for without telling them "Hey listen man .... I don't have that much right now .. would you be able to pay me back?".

It's probably because I watch a lot of Judge Judy. hahaha She is always telling people not to do that. lol It happens VERY often.

If you are a teen or something, he shouldn't have taken something expensive from you in the first place. But if you are an adult, in the future, if you want to get payed back, tell the person before you buy them something.

  3. That's bad!! He's  freeloading on you. Make a copy of the receipt and give him the copy telling him you need him to pay for it. If he doesn't, when it comes time to pay his fee, deduct the price of the shoes  from his fee.

  4. No, it's not "polite," it's THEFT if they don't pay you back.

Present the person with the receipt, if you haven't already, and tell them that you expect to be paid by the end of the week, otherwise, you will report them for theft.

    Have a polite day.

  5. He should have asked you how much they were and paid you then! That is the only proper thing to do in this situation!

  6. Yes it is polite, and I usually ask the person when they'll pay me back.

Seems to me a tennis coach needs to be reminded else one of his students will find a new coach.

  7. You should just call him up and say..."can I get the money for the shoes you asked me to pick up for you?  I'm going to need the money to______."

  8. He should have paid you immediately.  Give him a COPY (keep the original) of the receipt, and let him know that you need the money.  If he ever asks you to buy him something again, just tell him you don't have the extra money, and he'll have to give it to you first, then you'll be happy to pick it up for him.  It could just be an oversight.

  9. First off, you should ask if he's going to pay you back from the start. I know that could make you look bad, but.....he's your coach. That seems kind of weird in the first place.
