When you attach a return lable to the original package do you remove the one that was used to ship the order?

I would expect you remove it

so as not to create confusion

on the intended address.

I do, if I can.  If not, I stick the return address over it.

Not necessarily, however you should cover it with the new label to avoid confusion.
