When you become a georgia state trooper do you move around the state?

To help i want to know if i would be moving my family alot across the state.

NO! The Georgia State Patrol Training Division will give you three choices that you would like to be stationed. There are 48 patrol posts in the state. They try to send you to one of those three. If you get stationed away from home, you are eligible for a transfer after one year. The only time you get stationed away from home is if you get in trouble. If your a trouble maker, they don't want ya.
