I watched the movie Penelope online and then bought on Movies on demand later. The one I got on demand was clearly the one shown in theaters since many things were cut out and it was a little different. If I bought Penelope on DVD, would I be getting the theatrical version, the uncut one, or both?

I mean just in general for DVDs, which one do you get?

  1. most likely no when making dvds they cut some stuff off

  2. Usually not unless it says so.

  3. It usually tells you on the box.  If it says nothing it's the theatrical version.  Otherwise it's what it says.

Also if you want to get the real theatrical version, Widescreen is what they show in the theaters, fullscreen is a cropped version of the film meant to fit your TV.
