  1. 325 mg ferrous sulfate tablets, the usual salt in iron supplements, deliver 65 mg of elemental iron (subtracting the "sulfate" part).


  2. What does the dosage say? Many products' front labeling is misleading.  If they are 65mg each, you will get the 325mg by taking 5 a day, which is CRAZY!!  Look at the dosage instructions carefully.  Consult your doctor if you're not sure.
