Question:

When you buy something and they ask you for your postcode?

When I buy something at the department store or where ever, and they ask me for my postcode, I always decline. I mean, why should I help their business for nothing? Also, I think it's an invasion of privacy and a bit 'in my face'.

Am I being pedantic?

  1. You're obviously getting irritated over something that just isn't worth it.

You're putting more anguish into a question than you really need to. You sound a lot like me.

Sometimes it's easier to just answer the question than try to avoid it.

I'd hate to see your reaction when somebody actually does "get in your face."

  2. The stores are just protecting their interests, The postcode identifies the area, usually followed by what is your house number, this will identify who lives at that address, if your name does not appear false information has been given, with so much fraud going on who can blame the stores? It is after all protecting us all. (in answer to your question, I believe you are being  pedantic)

  3. ITS YOUR CHOICE NOT TO WE ARE A FREE COUNTRY.

anyway your right there just adding info to the consumer list.
