When you buy something online would the taxes be the same as buying it in a store (circuit city)?

If you live in California you are legally supposed to pay tax on items you buy online, but in any other state, no,  you don't have to pay taxes to items you buy online.

If the online site operates a store or is located in your state, they will charge you the sales tax that is required, so if there is a circuit city in your state they will charge you sales tax for your state/
