When you copy the files of a movie DVD, they have the folders VIDEO_TS and the other one, how do i merge them into an AVI file?

The other "Audio_TS" folder is empty.

Everything you need is in the Video_TS folder.

You will need a few programs however to convet the DvD to an avi.

A rip program such as DvDDecrypter, SmartRipper etc.

DVDx or FlasKMPEG

and VirtualDub which are all free.

drag and drop them (the folder before those two; parent folder) into VLC player and they'll play in your computer.

to make them into an iso for dvd burning, you'll need a program called dvdshrink, google it.

You mean VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. You just want to focus on VIDEO_TS because its the files with the actual movie. The only way to merge them is to use a program like total video converter. Other than that, you can't really do much.

What program are you using. When copying a DVD, its best to copyt them to your computer with a .ISO format.

If you want to burn the files to another DVD, just use the same program you used to rip it and select that folder. It will automatically set it all up for you.
