When you cross the border to canada do they check to see if you are on probabtion or do they run a apb (all points bulletin)?

  1. Absolutely.  We got blamed for terrorists coming from Canada and entering the US to learn how to fly jets.    Not gonna let that happen again.


  2. They run a crimminal background check, and if you have a conviction it will show up.  I don't believe they check every individual, but they have the ability to check anyone.

  3. If you  are currently on probation, in the USA, you need to CHECK with your PO about leaving your  State. Most Probation orders do NOT allow travel outside of the State where you are on Probation.

    Obviously, if you  can't legally leave your home State, you  can't go to Canada, either.

    This is one of the many ways that  being a criminal  comes back to hurt you

  4. Since an APB is only run when the police are searching for a fleeing criminal, I'd say that they don't run that at the border.  However, they do run a criminal check.  If you are on probation with travel restrictions, then you probably will not be allowed into Canada.
