  1. no it doesn't. the only way to complete delete your memory is to magnetize the hard drive. but you don't need to go through that extremes. its hard to recover memory, only an expert can do it.

  2. oh dear............. be careful of emailing or visiting websites. Sometimes its on the hard drive FOREVER !!

darn these computers. Like right this minute its 9:07 and I should be working and not on Yahoo Answers!! now i feel guilty  -   I'll be leaving now before I get busted !

    ha ha ha ha

  3. It really depends upon which browser you use. Internet Explorer is notorious for leaving a lot of cookies and temp files behind. Firefox ( http://www.getfirefox.com ) is a lot better about it and will delete temp files, history cookies, stored passwords, etc. in a single click or optionally any time you close the browser.

Most likely there are going to always going to be some remnants left behind, but Firefox will keep you safe from the average user trying to retreive private information.

If you choose to use IE, don't forget to delete your cookies, temporary internet files, and browsing history all from the Tools; Internet Options menu.

  4. Of course the are some way to trace back your visit, though browsing history has been deleted. Luckily, for normal user like us, it's a bit difficult to trace back somebody browsing .

  5. It can be deleted, but it is not untraceable. Whatever you do on your computer is burned into the hard drive.

  6. Nope there are ways. I can't remember, but I know there is a cache somewhere that holds all of your pictures and videos that you viewed. Most people don't know how to find it though.

If you have a nosey wife or gf though, You just might be in trouble.

  7. yes it deletes all websites etc you've visited so dont worry

it will blank out your history so that no one will be able to see what pages you've been on.

  8. No.  When you visit a website, you're literally downloading the page that you're looking at into a file on your computer.  You would have to delete your history and all the file in that folder.  Even then, that information can be restored if you know what you're doing.

I'd suggest not going to websites that you don't want people to know you went to.  Besides dismantling the computer and liquefying the hard drive, there's no way to be totally sure that the information can't be retrieved.
