  1. Darlin,

lol...pop quiz question or just being a tad morbid.... lol...whatever...think about all the stuff U have seen on tv or have read...especially when they have to exhume the body...there was stiil a little bit of hair...depending on how long since the person had passed away. If it had been awhile,

there was no hair, only a skull...why?? there was no more skin in which it could still be attached to...Good luck!!!

  2. without preservatives your hair would fall out once the follicles relaxed, and the skin shrived and decomposed. however with modern preservatives used in mortuaries it is not uncommon for a body to be exhumed and the hair to still be attached to the scalp.

  3. It stays

  4. Spontaneously combusts

    =O

  5. short term:

It stays on your head, because it's still held in place by the skin

The follicles that hold the root of the hair are still clasped around it, so the hair won't fall out. It does however, get loose, as the skin dries out.

    Eventually:

As your skin dries up or rots away, your hair will fall out.

    'fun' fact:

Your hair and nails do not keep growing after death, it merely seems longer because the skin dries up and shrinks, revealing more of the hair or nails
