  1. When you do a water change, you can pour the dirty water into the toilet, since they are all fish poops and smaller than human poops, it won't stuck your toilet.

  2. I usally dump it into the tub or the toilet.

  3. down the bathroom sink or the bath it all goes to the sewers but as i have a 350 gallon tank i pour it on the lawn

  4. I pour mine down the bathroom sink.

  5. i would pour it outside if i were you !!

  6. As another person said, dirty fish water is great for plants.  Very nutritional.

Also, I keep a small portion of the dirty water from the tank, and pour that back into the tank along with the clean water.  That way the beneficial bacteria in the tank are not completely destroyed, because otherwise it will take weeks for the bacteria to build back up again, and during that time, the high ammonia levels from your fish's waste can be harmful.

  7. If the weather is good it gets poured on the lawn, it's good fertiliser.

If I dont want to go outside, down the laundy sink.

  8. outside or in my toilet or sink

  9. Normally the toilet but if it's in my big tank, outside because theres too much water to deal with. It's really icky to have in your sink. I normally put the water from the big tank out in the lawn so it dosen't back up into the basement.

  10. in the toilet

  11. I run a 25 foot hose from my tank to my bathroom sink, I run the hose down the drain and let it siphon out.

  12. usually outside.. and the toilet.. lol its closest

  13. Usually I pour it outside when I am at my house.  However, if you drink well water you might not want to do that, or at least pour it where it won't seep into the well.

I also have an apartment, and when I am living there I have to resort to buying a lot of draino and pouring it down the sink.

Sometimes- while disgusting- you can get a large strainer with a fine strain and pour the water into that over the sink, so you catch the particles (which you can throw in your trash) and the water that goes through the strainer won't clog your sink or bathtub.  This method might be good with a siphon, though.

The toilet is a good place too, but if you have large particles in the water or any rocks or pebbles, that could clog the sewage.  And of course, that would result in a very undesirable mess.

  14. If your tank is healthy and you have not added salt or medicines to the tank in the past month, you can use the dirty water to water your house plants.  It's very nourishing water for plants and you will be recycling the used water in a responsible way.  If you have a really big tank or lots of tanks, you can use the excess water to water the lawn or wash the car.

  15. You are supposed to let it go down the drain so it can be re-used again.
