I do about 200 squats a day. My friends say that it doesn't help my calf, but i think it does. Does it or does it not?

  1. Yes it does strengthen your calf muscles, because they have to support and stabilize any weight you put on your back.

But bodyweight squats aren't likely to do much to build muscle.

When I squat I have 300+ pounds on my back and I need every thing Ive got to keep it stable.
