e.g. in most of my dreams, my thoughts belong to one of the characters, but i *see* it like i'm the camera in a movie

do you see your dreams like this, or through a character's eyes? is the character usually the real you, or some randomer?

(by which i mean....in the dream you think of a person as "me", but it isn't the same as real-life you)

  1. i see it in 3rd person like a video game. and i can only see a certain field of vision, and when my neck or my body turns i can see whatever im facing. never really thought about it.

  2. I normally see mine as if I am watching a movie.

  3. 3-D

  4. I am usually me in my dreams, seeing everything happening but not actually seeing myself.

  5. In dreams I usually start out thinking of myself as me but as the dream oprogresses ?I find myself in someone elses body like...Austin Powers or something (idk that was the first thing that came to mind).  I usually see ion a camera view as well in most dreams. Some It's like I cant see at all and some I see from my own point of view.

  6. When I dream I use me and alomst always every characteristic is the same too. Last nigt I had a really weird dream about Miley Cyrus, and I was me.

  7. It varies. Sometimes I'm just me, other times I'm someone random and sometimes it's like watching a film. Sleeping is so much fun!

  8. I think it shifts throughout my dreams, though im quite sure that im usually me in my dreams. a lot of the time i see through my own eyes, but then i can see things happening in places where i'm not....

thinking of this, last night i had a dream that i had s*x with Turk out of scrubs on a hospital bed...this was from my actual point of view, and is really weird because i dont even watch scrubs!

  9. i won't see myself but i can see everything around me.

  10. I am watching it from really far away, yet everything is magnified. Sometimes I am me, but only if I am flying or swimming.

  11. it's the real life me but it's very disjointed and weird sometimes

  12. Depends, alot of times i'ts first person but i'm somebody else, then there are times it switches where suddenly i'm in third person lookin at myself or someone else, OR i look through the eyes of someone else lookin at myself. all my dreams are just weird in general, but very interesting to study or figure out the symbolic meaning to them.

  13. eeewww yh thats wierd, never really thougth of it...a movies perspective, or 1st person x

  14. Most of the time I am me in my dreams, but I'm watching things happen from a third person point of view, like a camera like you said.

  15. 1st person.. myself..

  16. my dreams are normally frmo my point of view. so i never see my self just the people around me.

  17. WOW that is very interesting I never experienced a DREAM that was unlike normal consciousness ........always from my point of VIEW but the THING IS it is of  course all jumbled where the senses all blend together in one sense of experience. but it is Definitely coming from ME I mean how can you THINK anothers THOUGTHS how would you KNOW what exists outside of your own CONSCIOUS PERCEPTION actually nothing does that you can ever really KNOW so I don't really even understand what you mean but I Guess you become someone else or something I am not sure VERY INTERESTING

  18. im usually myself in the dream but at the sametime i can see everything thats happening even if im not there

    its usually the real me

    weird ^-^

  19. usually i'm me but i can see myself like running or whatever

  20. sometimes as in looking through a camera lens and you see yourself. other times you look through your own eyes.

  21. sometimes i can see myself and i'm not looking out of anyone's eyes but sometimes i am looking out of my eyes.

  22. i see my dreams through my own eyes

  23. For me it's like a camera that rotates around me, so sometimes I see from POV other times it's behind my shoulder or to the side. Depends, what I am focusing on. Say I'm thinking in what is happening behind me I can see myself from the front and I see the background
