When you fall over, on your own, in the street how do you react ?

I have done just that on occasion.  I checked to make sure nothing was broken and checked for bruises.  Here in the village though, the people are very quick to react to any kind of emergency, so when they see their pastor take a most undignified dive to the ground they are all too ready to help.  Mostly, the only thing I have hurt is my dignity.  I thank all who have helped me and continue on my way.  One time the catholic priest was there when I fell over and he came to my aid.  It was said that when he gave his sermon the following Sunday, he included the words, "When the protestant pastor approached, even he fell on his face before me".  I know it was said with kindly amusement and I took it the same way.  Thank you for reminding me of the humor of the incident. You shall have a star.

laugh and then carry on laughing about it all day. i love doing stupid things, falling over would probably make my day :)

OMG! I feel so embarassed by things like that. Yesterday I was on my own waiting to cross a busy road, it was raining hard and there was a massive puddle in front, a lorry came along and sprayed me, plus there was lots of cars waiting in the traffic, OMG! I was so embarassed!

last time i fell in the street (or more technically on the grass right next to the road) i broke my foot. i could not stop laughing. it hurt. i couldnt stand up or walk. so i sat next to the road and luckily i had my phone so i called my aunt to come pick me up. it was funny. but it was not so funny when i got all the bills.

It's happened to me before. It was raining, and while on my way home alone from school, I slipped on the smooth pavement/sidewalk.
