When you file a civil suit, are you entitled to a attorney appointed by the state? ?

me and my husband are about to go to war with our apartment complexs management not taking appropriate measures on fixing our infestation of insects...mostly wolf spiders but also other creatures...they have sent exterminators to spray 3 times and it doesnt do ****. were paying close to $1000.00 per month. they wont admit we have an infestation and are trying to go around it the cheap way..we've been keeping all the bugs we find in a plastic sandwich bag and we take pictures when we find them..any advice on how to win this one? we want out of are lease as soon as possible.we have a 3 month old baby, this is not sanitary living conditions.

HELP.

  1. No one in civil lawsuits is entitled to a court appointed attorney.

    In civil suits for protection against domestic violence and in child support actions in which the family is receiving TANF, the county or state provides an attorney.

    If you are plaintiff, you bear the costs of filing the suit and for any legal representation.  

    Talk to a lawyer.

    If there is a tenants' rights organization in your community, contact them.

    I am sorry to advise you but you only have the right to an attorney if you are arrested and have no income.
