When you file a petition under 245 I law and is aproved what is the next step or how do you aply for the visa

I am a beneficiary from a petition under law 245 I my mother is the beneficiary an I am a married child, the petition was aproved

and I am suposed to apply for a ajustment of status, but I am suposed to get a visa number before I don't know how to do this

or what form to file, I don't have money to pay a lawyer so I want to do it my self with the right forms and information.

  1. Well, since your mother is an American and you are married, your petition will fall under the F3 family preference visa category. There is a significant wait from the time the petition is filed before a visa is available. There is nothing you can do to get the visa number. It's a question of time. If you look at this month's Visa Bulletin, available at travel.state.gov, the priority date for your type of petition is now 8 June 2000. That means only petitions in this category filed on or before that date are valid for use, or in other words, have an available visa number. So, for most countries there is an 8 year wait. It's about 9 years longer for Filipinos and Mexicans. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use this petition to adjust to immigrant status for quite a long time and if you are in the US, as it seems, you won't be here legally if you try to wait for the petition to become valid.
