When you first open a DVD container, what is the strong smell that comes out?

When initially opening a DVD container, what is the incredulously strong, seemingly chemical odor that initially jets out and irritates the nose? And is it bad to breath in?

Im pretty sure its a mixture of 3 things, the material of the plastic that covers the new DVD, the plastic the DVD is inside, and the material that the DVD is made of. I dont think it is bad for you to breath in, but i would suggest going around and smelling it all the time lol
