.... (like: when did you buy the ticket/what are you making in the USA), but when you then fly back from the USA to your country with the same carrier and the same route, there are no "asking" people (you basically just check-in like a domestic US-flight)?!

  1. Different people are doing the asking.

  2. maybe the us carrier is task by the authorities to ask such queries for the protection of the flight into the country and they dont bother about the return trip as they were nt task to do the job.'

  3. FAA and NTSB rules.

  4. They want to ensure you won't kill everyone.

    .

  5. The entry requirements for every country are written by that country.  So, the requirements by the US are different than those written by another country.

  6. osama ben laden's people are everywhere. They look like you and me..so what's a couple 'o questions asked bother you so much?you wanna reach home safely, dont'cha?

  7. Because the US wants to know what kind of people are entering our country!  When I fly from the US to China on business, I get asked those questions, too.  It is not just the U.S.  But when I return to the U.S., all they say is "welcome home."

  8. Since 9/11 airport security for people traveling to the US has gotten really tight.  Even though I am an American (white and corn fed) I work in the Middle East and when the immigration people see my passport with stamps from all over "Red Flagged" areas they still bring me aside and ask me a few more questions then they would ask the regular Joe going skiing in the Alps.
