  1. Once you check your bags, they will be transferred for you! They put a routing ticket on your bag so they know which plane to load them into on your lay-over. One less thing to stress about. Have a great trip!

  2. Usually no...You won't have to go get your bags or anything.

  3. You need to check in for your final destination and then your bags with follow you on whatever plane you get transferred to

  4. Nope, you do not have to do this - the airport has this all organized and undercontrol.

    Once you land from your first flight, listen to the flight attendent as she announces the gates for destinations and make sure your gate is still the same - there will also be plenty of screens to check your next gate vs. your flight. Then just walk to the next gate and wait to board that plane. Here is an example.

    You flew from Boston to NY, at NY attendant will say;

    "For flights to New Orleans - Gate 23, for flights to Mexico - Gate 38, for flights to San Diego - Gate 2 (etc etc)." Then you hear your destination, and go to that Gate. There are also screens that will say, 10:30am flight to San Diego - Gate 2.

    I did that, went out to go get my bag, I almost missed my flight, haha - I learned from experience the airport does this for you.

    Safe Travels! Oh, and never be afraid to ask the attendants and air port employees - I once even ask where I could get a cool flight attendant pin, haha.

  5. no the only thing you have to worry about is your carry-on
