  1. Only if your doctor orders the blood to be tested for drugs.  Some drugs will show up in the blood.   S/he may order a "tox screen."  ( toxicology screen).  Some drugs in your system can affect you if you are ill, make you ill, or interact with other meds.  You do have a right to confidentiality, though, if you are in the US.  If you have been using street drugs or somebody else's prescription meds, you should let your doctor know up front.  They could cause serious problems, or skew the results of your other tests.  They see drug use in patients all the time.  Unfortunately, it is not rare and your doctor can help you.  It's important that you be up front with your physician about drug use, tobacco use, alcohol use, or whatever.

  2. They only run tests on specifics things. So if its for diabetes, sugar levels. Then that's all they run the test for. Unless there doing a test fro everything. It may show up and they may question you on. try not to worry to much.
