I've been to America, I didn't like the bread or butter, the tap water was better than here though. The chewing gum tasted strange as well, other candies and crisps (chips) tasted good. I didn't like anything else, apart from the fruit.

  1. Never been to USA so can't comment.

The food in Egypt was awful and when we asked what the dishes were the answers didn't add up.

Also the food in Morocco is c**p.

I like Spanish food - proper Spanish food not the stuff served to tourists.

British food is ok but alot of it is junk food these days

  2. It depends on the place that I visit, some cuisine can fit my appetite and some cannot, I prefer something hot & spicy. It depends on the culture and the way they expressed their foods too. When Im in USA, they told me that "Tabasco" is very hot & spicy, but not for me, same goes to "Very Hot Peri-Peri" also not so hot for me, as well as "Wasabi" in Japan, not so hot at all but it makes me dizzy.. "Tandoori" also kinda hot but still cannot make me cry... Hehehe... Btw, I love travelling and I enjoy to taste their cuisines too.

  3. I do yes.

I usually go all inclusive so theres something for everyones taste.

I love to taste local dishes though, I feel asthough I should when visiting a foreign country to get the most out of my holiday.

  4. I tend to think of abroad as asia, africa etc, not america, I have been to all and the food is great as long as you give the fruitbats and grubs a miss.

  5. Junk food is usually ok - biscuits and cakes are pretty much the same. I am such a fussy eater though I end up living on rice, bread or Mcdonalds! I also take boxes of snack bars with me just in case!

  6. When going abroad, one of the major highlights of the trip is the food and I will try most anything; well, almost.  Anything that looks like a membrane, is too slimy, has too many little legs, and one minute prior to dinnertime has a blanket of flies on it doesn't get past my it's okey to swallow meter.  But, then everyone has different taste.  I live in America, but I eat anything from Indian to Vietnamese to Thai food on a fairly regular basis and since these people who own these places are American or working on being American, this is also American food.

  7. In my younger days, I travelled all over the world and tasted their foods for an experience.  All countries and areas have their own unique foods and way of presenting them, Like the coffee in continental Europe, very strange but I drank it like the natives. This is what travelling is all about, seeing and doing and eating new things.   I am not a fussy eater by any  means nor am I a vegetarian, so that gives me more slack in the food department.  I am afraid though that the only country that I found lacking in taste in general food was England, they do not seem to use much spice or garlic or anything of that nature.  But that was ok. at least I got to experience that too.

  8. What about the meat, the vegetables etc - what was that like?

    Tea?  Coffee?

Its always good fun trying another country's food I find.

  9. I LOVED the food in America! I think I loved it because it was all so weird and wonderful compared to here in England. I loved the cereals cus they were all so colourful and cute. I have ot be honest, I hardly remember the taste, I thibk I just liked the novelty of it all being new to me!

If you want proper nice quality, wonderful food you need to go to Sicily. Their food is outstanding in everyway.

Places like spain, cyprus etc do fair food, it was not that great in my opinion but then I am a vegetarian and the majority of their menus were made around meat. I really liked the milk in Spain, very delicious.

The food in France was very odd to me, It was all a little too adventourous with what they put together, and again it was hard being a vegetarian in France.

  10. I can't remember what the food was like in America, so I think it was probably not very memorable, because I usually remember a place by its food.

I love the food in the Mediterranean area, though. Italian food is delicious, what I've had of Spanish food I've liked, and there are some Portuguese dishes that made me think I'd died and gone to heaven. I also liked what I ate in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary .... but in Hungary they tended to eat a LOT of meat.

I like eating local dishes when I go to mainland Europe. And I NEVER eat at the Evil Empire of the Golden Arches .... guess what that is.

I'm 40 but I'm told I look ten years younger. Go figure.
