  1. you say yes i do have some questions!~

What are the future advancements? are there any restrictions on timelines for promotions/advancements?

    do you hold annual reviews?

What are some of the job securities that would make me feel safe... with the job market not being up up up. I wonder how secure is my posistion.

what are the biggest most changing thing you have coming up with company!  are you planning on selling ect...

ask questions about the job not about the money!

once you get the job you can ask about more money direct deposit ect...

but are you going to be stuck in that position for ever or can you move up? don't you want to know that?

  2. Ask them sophisticated questions about the company.

  3. everyone has pretty much summed it up, so i'll say whatever you do, DON'T say, "No, I'm good/don't have any". It makes the interviewer think you were in la la land the entire time the two of you were talking. I have never been hired at a job where I said I had no questions during the interview.

Even if you were in la la land during the interview, always ask something general like, "what's the dresscode" or "how long have you been working here?" "what's the staff like?"

  4. if you have any questions abotu anything that they did not include in the interview, ask them then. i ask things like what is the dress code, how are your benefits, etc. makes you seem like you really care and gives them the impression you are confident about getting this job, so you are already thinking about things you will need to know when you start.

  5. Don't ask about benefits. Ask more questions that show how much YOU can contribute to THEM.  The idea about asking the person what they like about their company/job is a very good one.

Ask if there will be increasing responsibilities with the job. What kind of training is offered to improve job skills? Will you have a mentor to help you become more effective in your career?  Think up those kind of questions ahead of time and write them down in a little notebook.  take a couple brief notes too, it will make you seem very serious about your work.

Ask when you will be hearing from them or what the next step in the interview process is.

Ask what they think is the most  important asset for a successful career at their company is.

Do not ask about vacation, dress code, etc. It makes you seem self centered and not team oriented.  Good luck!!!

  6. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.  Find out something about the company, what it does, and who its competitors are.  Research the company if it is publicly traded on places like Morningstar and find out what they think of the company and industry.  Try and find out something about the specific position before the interview.  That opens up questions you may have about the job.  If you can't, a great question is, Do you have a position description for this job?

  7. I've always hated that question, you need to be prepared for it. They will always ask it, it seems to be the interview standard. I always found the best thing to do is study up on the company itself, their policies and procedures etc and ask a question relating to that. It doesn't really matter if you actually want or need to know the answer, the fact that you're asking shows that you are interested.

  8. you can always ask "When did you start at the company and why did you chose to pursue a career here?" (that will get them talking.)

Another is "What do you suggest is the best way for me to fit in and succeed here?"

  9. That would be a perfect opportunity to find out about benefits offered by the company, regularity of salary increases, advancements within the company.
