  1. it depends what you want to do if your planning to go overseas to other countrys then you will need the launuage  but science is great if you want to become a doctor or vet or even hairdresser

i think science is the way to go it will help you in the future  but make sure you pick something YOU are into and also lanuage is fairly easy to learn so if you wanted to you could do some langues at home for around 10 or 15 a day or somthing

  2. it depends whatever yur best at. languages are very difficult and in my opinion humanities are easier but if humanities include rs/re thats extremly difficult (im doin it atm). im doin addititional science next year bt if yu wanna b like a doctor then i would do seperate science. bt if yur talkin about gcse options then whether yu do seperate or additional science at gcse wont make a difference to whether yu can or cant do it at a/as level. i wouldnt recomend seperate unlesss yu need it for yue futre job cus my friends say its REALLY diffcult. for humanities theyre quite difficult aswell. if yu do a foriegn language i would recomend spanish cus its th easiest.

  3. You need to decide what subject you find the most interesting and consider if you may want to work in this area in the future. You are the only one who can make such a choice. Remember choose something that you find interesting otherwise you will get bored and no longer enjoy learning.

  4. I'm deciding that too, at the moment.

You should go for whatever will help you in the career path you want to  take, or what interests you, and that's different for everyone. If you like History or Geography, then go for Humanities, and if you're interested in travelling or translating, choose French or something. We can't tell you what you want to do, so you're better off deciding for yourself, or, if you're incapable of making a decision, ask you parents or teachers.

If you want some tips, then I'll share what others have told me:

    1. Don't choose a subject just because you like the teacher

    2. Give yourself a broad choice of subjects, rather than just going for (for example) three sciences (unless you're absolutely sure that thats the direction you want to go in)

    3. Choose something that will be useful to you in the future, or something that really interests you

    4. Do not base your subjects solely on how well they scale

Yeah, so I hope that helped. In case you're interested; the subjects I chose are: 3-unit Maths, 3-unit English (they force you to, in my school. It's ridiculous!), French Continuers, Biology and Ancient History.

Good luck with your selection. I hope the subjects you choose will be the right ones for you. XD

EDIT: Guy above me somewhere (Realitys...), isn't that 14 units?

  5. CAn I ask  what country you're in? I'm in year ten this year too, I've decided on English Advanced/Extension, Mathematics/Extension, Ancient History, Economics, Chemistry& French Cont. I'd love to learn German or Japanses beginners but my school doesn't have it. It depends what you want to do when your in uni and what you like
