When you go to a contact lens training, can you ask your parent to go outside while you put the contacts on?

because i'm going to a contact lens training and i have to put on my contacts for the 1st time.

i dont want my parent watching me either.

did u have ur parent go out of the room?

  1. Haha, I remember when I first got my contacts, I was kind of scared, and they went in just fine, but when I had to take them out I freaked out and I was crying and everything! I think I was like 11 or 12. But now I can put them on in like 2 seconds.


  2. Yes....I actually have the technician ask the parent to wait in the reception area.  Nobody likes an audience in these situations....

  3. Most definitely.  It only makes you nervous when you have an audience.  Ask them nicely to wait outside while you practice.  Once you're better at it if they want to be amazed by it then you can show them another time.  :)

  4. I recently took my daughter for contact lenses. She's 15 and asked me to wait outside. I respected her decision and waited. Talk to your parent. Tell them you'll need to concentrate and rather go in alone.
