For health reasons, I like latex beds. I refuse to sleep on anything else. When I live in a dorm, can I bring in my own latex mattress?

  1. hah

  2. Wow, you're rich, huh? A new mattress for your dorm and a storage unit. That's hella expensive. *EDIT: You might have the bed but a storage unit is crazy expensive, PLUS college  tuition, dining plan, everything for your room, etc. Just a tad bit rich, maybe? Whatevs. It is true.* I hope you ain't voting for McCain. Unless you want another bush for another 4 years. O_o

ANYways, back on topic. I suppose you could bring your own mattress but put the one on there in the storage unit. Just make sure you don't damage the one on the bed now.

  3. you can bring your own mattress but you'll have to keep the old mattress in your room too.  they dont just store them b/c you dont want it.

  4. hahahaha anything else ? .

  5. probably but i would ask someone just in case!

  6. Ask your resident advisor that question.  The rules are different for every dormitory.

  7. yes, if you can but make it fit, How will you handle sharing a restroom/bath/shower with 10-25 other student?

  8. Check with the residence life office at your college.

  9. Certainly!  As long as the mattress is as big as the bed frame.  Make sure you let your Student Affairs Dean know that way they remove the regular mattress out of your room in advance.

  10. As long as you put the one that was in there back when you leave, yes.  The only issue you may have is that the school may be worried about an infestation of bedbugs, so they may not allow it for those reasons.  Ask the housing department to be sure.  Good luck!

  11. Usually, if you live on campus in a dorm, they provide you with a mattress, and can't bring your own...however, some schools may allow it.

  12. No reason not to, I guess, if you're okay with toting a mattress around, and can find a place to store the other one.

  13. you can but you should make sure it fits the frame of the bed you are going to have.

  14. All colleges are different some already have mattress and if you decide to bring your own you gotta arrange ahead of time to have their mattress removed from the dorm. Your best bet is to call the school and ask yourself :)

Good luck in school by the way, i start next month its pretty exciting huh :D

  15. I don't see why not... They always need more beds and would not be upset giving the other bed a new home in another room.

  16. SUCK IT UP, ONLY LIKE A FEW HUNDRED PEOPLE SLEPT ON THE MATRESSES. AND YES U CAN THROW OUT THE OLD ONE.
