Do you go to the store and your starving so you might open something from your cart, and start eating it in the store, and is that rude to do? Even if ofcourse your going to pay for it. Would like to hear all your opinions, thanks!

  2. i don't see anything rude about it your minding your business and doing what you need to do!

I personally don't do that i make a point not to shop when i'm hungry!  i tend to spend more money that way!  grant you it does get eaten but i like to stick to my budget!

  3. I have done that sometimes, always paid for it though and I think it is alright unless it is a messy thing to eat.

  4. I have never done that in my life, one, it is embarrassing and two, it tastes better when you're alone. But I do shop when I'm starving which is bad and makes me do a lot of impulse buying.

  5. I always thought you were suppose to eat animal crackers in the store?

  6. As long as it's something like chips or pretzels it's perfectly fine. Don't open the roasted chicken and start eating that, though.

  7. you have to keep it simple.. bag of chips, a bottle of water... you get the point - Now... you may want to refrain from ripping open a loaf of bread and making your world famous bologna sandwich with marshmellows and peanut butter.

Me... I push those people off to the side cooking up the "samples" and cook my own pizza rolls! They never seem to get them crispy enough for me - now thats rude!

  8. one is allowed to do that.. parents often let their kids have a small bar of chocolate to nibble at while the parents are shopping that keeps the kids from getting cranky.. it's only fair if the kids are very small and they see some sweets to get them a small bit of something... or not take them at all and one parent stays at home with them instead.. then the cashier will use the empty package and it will register on the account and you have to pay for it.. you can do the same as an adult. but a good advice is when going shopping.. .always make sure you eat something before you shop otherwise you end up buying a lot more than you planned to.. but yes if you are that desperate you can eat some sweets as long as you keep the package as you have to put that on the conveyor belt.. and the amount will be added to your expenses...

  9. I don't think it's rude if you know you will pay for it.

  10. If your hungry and your at the grocery & you got money in your pocket-Its ok

YES-i've done it before, I dont think its rude & when I go to pay for it, the cashier never says anything, they just hand it back to me (the chips or whatever i was eating)

  11. Its rude. Wait till you leave the store.

Its like eating 3 grapes at the fruit section there and because you consumed them, there is no way for you to pay for the weight of the 3 grapes.

  12. No. I won't eat anything in the store. If I'm that hungry, I will grab a cup of coffee (sold there) to ward off my hunger until I get home. My hands always feel dirty after pushing around a grocery cart, so maybe that's why I won't feed myself in the store...

  13. many people do this, but sometimes they do not pay.  but, one should take caution, as cameras in a supermarket are very hi-tech, and, the parking lot also has hi-tech camera systems.  (i know i work in a supermarket, and have been schooled on the hi-tech cameras that can zoom in on anything.)

  14. Its not rude if you pay for it. Sometimes I do this for my daughter when she wants a snack while I shop.

  15. The question of rudeness does not arise. You are not supposed to do that, that's all. You may do it after you've paid for it. It's bought after you've paid for it.

  16. Yes of course!!! I have done it several times. And I have always paid for it...

  17. No, I have never done that and to me, it is a bit annoying to see people doing that

  18. Not only is it rude, it is disgusting and annoying. So there you are munching away on your chips and you have to reach for something....you just put your crummy hands on a product you may or may not buy. Ok, you 'l**k you hands clean' before touching the product, then you touch your buggy ( which has been outside) and keep eating. Or ( and this has happened soooooo many times to me) you are crunching away in somones ear. Just wait or get a soda or a piece of gum out of the machine.

  19. If you're eating something that's pre-measured and priced, you're ok.  If you're eating something that gets weighed at the register, such as grapes or bulk foods, you're shoplifting.
