Peace and great respect Yahoo Brothers and Sisters.

Can anyone please help Crazy Horse tonight? I have something on my mind.

When I went to pub tonight the bar was very empty when I walk in, and two men whom I do not know - mid twenties were sitting in my bar, with no drink in front of them. (This is not a joke). Bar girl is very young only about 20. They ask Crazy Horse for 2 quid and I reply with colourful expletives and also say "no I have to work for my money". Nearly had big fight, but they backed away from me - luckily. I say to them "is 2 quid for medical emergency" and they say "no, we just wanna drink". So I squared up to them - though I was very afraid, but fortunately they went home swearing and effing and blinding accusing me of judging them when I don't even know them.

Should I have given money, whether I can afford this or not, even if I were very very rich or not?

Did I do the right thing, maybe I should not go out alone?

What would you have done in that situation?

  1. I wouldn't have given them any money if I did not know them....why are they hanging in a bar with no money???.....that isn't too bright....I would have told them to take a long walk off a short pier!

  2. Why are you talking like that? It's bad enough hearing people doing a"pidgin i***n" accent, but here you have actually had to think about how to spell and phrase it! How sad are you?

(I'd have told them to f**k off!)

  3. You shouldn't have given them money. If they can not afford to buy themselves a drink they do not need to be at the bar in the first place. There's a liquor store up the road from my house my husband and I go to and every time we do there's always homeless people sitting out front begging for change or beer. The other night I stayed home as our son was in bed while my husband ran up the road to get beer and wine. My husband said a homeless man asked him before he went in for money for a beer he told him no. When he came back out the guy asked my husband if he could have one of his beers and he said he didn't have enough. The guy said well you got 2 can't you give one to me. My husband told him he could not because he worked hard all week in order to get his beer. He told the man he would buy him something to eat but not alchol.

  4. Next time this happens, tell them to go and play marbles on the motorway and you'll buy the winner a drink..... Hopefully you won't see them again.

  5. You shouldn't have given them any money if you can't afford it but you could also have been a little more polite. A simple "Sorry, I don't have much money on me" might have been received better. I'm not saying they were right to be effing and blinding but it might have got them annoyed that you were very defensive.

  6. a polite.....no, sorry, I have only ehough to get myself a drink....might have worked, but shame you had to go through that anyway

  7. You did the right thing Crazy Horse.  What cheeky sods to ask you, its a good thing you stood up to them.

  8. just say no

  9. no you did the right thing , I would never have given them money rich or poor ,what the h**l were they doing sat at the bar with no money and no drink anyway.i work in a bar and if you dont order a drink you are told that it ain't a hostel of a youth club and told to leave.

  10. Next time use your tomahawk.Make sure to scalp em' afterwards!

  11. If it was for food or something necessary I would give it to the person.  I've been played too many times by people in the streets asking for food money or for transportation and eventually figured out it was for drugs.  Do not feel guilty.  You can't please everyone.  Save your kind heart for someone who will need it and those people are out there.  Peace and great respect to you also Crazy Horse.

  12. I would have also said no.  You have a point if they don't work for the beer , they shouldn't have it.  Maybe you did risk it being on your own, but we have to stand up to the scroungers of this world.  If you had given them money for a beer would it have stopped there?

I'm sorry to get on my high horse, but if people aren't going to help themselves, then why should they expect others to do it for them.

    Respect to you too.

  13. I agree with magster....

    star for you though....

  14. No, I would'nt have either. If they had no money they should'nt have gone into the pub, knowing they could'nt get a drink.

When I'm skint, I don't go out simple as that.

Yes you did the right thing. god Bless.

  15. Begging for beer, whatever next? They'd better not try that in my pub either.

  16. You did the proper thing,Itoo would give with happy heart if it was for food or medical purpose but not to buy drink or drugs etc ..good on ya for standing up to them..peace to you brother.

  17. Crazy Horse you did the right thing if people cant afford to buy a drink they shouldnt be in the pub scrounging off others x x

  18. You are a crazy son of a b*tch. You should put this in the jokes section people seem to have dried up over there.
