  1. I got my parents a photo frame that had a place for 2 5 x 7 pictures. One side said my birthday, the other side said our wedding date, and in the middle, it said "your daughter always". We did the same thing for my husband's mom and dad... Well, except theirs said "your son always". :)

  3. I gave my mother a lenox gift it was a bride and the mother helping her get ready. She loved it.

Sorry, I had not heard of that "tradition".  Back in the 70's, when I got married, we did not give our parents anything.  It is a really nice idea, but I'm not aware of people doing that now either.  My daughter is getting married in about a month.  I'm not expecting anything.  But I can tell you what would make my day.  If she stood up and thanked us.

  5. We sent each set of parents a bouquet of flowers the day after the wedding as a thank you.

  6. i gave them a grandson 4 months later. they r closer to him than their granddaughter who was 1 month old at the wedding.

  8. I didn't give my parents anything but my Dad handed me an envelope with ten thousand dollars in it. I almost fainted.

  10. I had frames made with our names and wedding date engraved in them and then after I got my pictures back I gave them a picture to put in it.
