When you have a coil/copper t removed?

Can you get pregnant quickly or is it similar to when you stop taking the pill?

Also what should I start doing now to prepare for conception? (like a healthy start so to speak)

Should I take folic acid now or not?

I dont know anything about the iud, but I know that you should be taking folic acid before and during pregnancy to cut down on the risk of birth defects. Good Luck.

I believe once the IUD is removed pregnancy can occur almost immediately because there is no hormone being released like the pill.

As far as preparing for conception...do what your mom and doctors always told you to do. Exercise on a regular basis, and eat healthy. You might want to start taking a multivitamin if you aren't already.

You can get pregnant quickly after getting the IUD removed. At least that was what my OB told me when I was considering getting it.

As for folic acid, start taking it now if you want to conceive.

I just had mine taken out after 6 1/2 years now in my 3rd month of ttc.  I should find out any day now.  Good luck to you
